Who says you can't go back on tour? A Bon Jovi reunion may be in the works, according to one of the rock band's founding members, Richie Sambora.

When asked about the potential reunion, Sambora told People that "there's talking" taking place. "It definitely could happen," he said. "It's just a question of when everybody's ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking."

As for when fans can expect to see the group announce a tour, it may be some time as all the plans seem up in the air.

"I'm not sure. It's up to peoples [sic], it's got to be right. That's all," Sambora, who left the band in April 2013 to spend more time with his family, shared. "It's time to do it, though," the 64-year-old musician added. "This is our 40th anniversary, but I feel younger than ever. I'm having a ball."

Sambora went on to explain why he feels now is the time to get the ball rolling, citing the group's upcoming documentary as one reason.

"There's a documentary that's being done about the band and stuff that I've participated in, and people want to come see us play, and it's going to make everybody happy,” the guitarist said. “I mean, essentially, that's why you do it at this point.”

Sambora continued, "I think that we wrote a lot of songs that changed a lot of people's lives just by letting them have a good time. I know that's what music did to me … kept me company. And I hope that I can reflect that in what I do."

Even now, four decades after Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres, David Bryan and Alec John Such founded the band, fans have remained as loyal as ever.

"That goes to show you, music is the international language," he told the outlet. "And it lasts a lifetime."
