The 43-year-old quarterback left the Patriots for the Buccaneers last offseason after 20 seasons with New England. He’s making $50 million for a two-year deal with Tampa Bay and is headed back to the big game.

Picked out of Purdue in the second round of the 2001 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers, Drew Brees developed into one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Considered undersized at just 6 feet tall, Brees left the Chargers after five seasons and signed with the New Orleans Saints, eventually leading them to a Super Bowl championship.

Brees, 42, is expected to retire after this season and join the NBC broadcast team, although he hasn’t made an official announcement yet. He’s finishing a two-year, $50 million contract with New Orleans.

The 37-year-old quarterback has built a Hall of Fame NFL career, with a Super Bowl title and two NFL MVP awards. And Rodgers has been paid quite well for it, as he’s currently playing on a four-year, $134 million deal for the Packers, including a $57 million signing bonus.
