Rhinestone Cowgirls celebrate women of country at The Grand and more can’t-miss events in Oshkosh this week

OSHKOSH — Celebrate the women of country with the Rhinestone Cowgirls show at The Grand.

Another live music option is the Oshkosh Symphony's spring concert, or maybe check out a comedy show.

Fans of the wizarding world are sure to enjoy a special Wizard Dinner at The Howard, or take part in the Trivia Night to benefit Leadership Oshkosh.

Rhinestone Cowgirls celebrates country music’s greatest lady legends such as Patsy, Loretta, Tammy, Dolly, Reba, Shania, Faith and Carrie. The show is set for 7:30 p.m. April 20 at The Grand Oshkosh, 100 High Ave.

With an emphasis on the glamorous side, Rhinestone Cowgirls spans eight decades of music paying homage to iconic female vocalists.

2. Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra presents Galvanize

The Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra’s spring concert, Galvanize, is set for April 20. It will begin at 7 p.m. at UW Oshkosh Arts and Communication Building, 1001 Elmwood Ave.

The concert features vocal soloists on faculty at UWO, from the Oshkosh Chamber Singers, and choirs from UWO. The program will include Dvorak “Symphony No. 6” and José Maurício Nunes Garcia's “Mass of the Immaculate Conception.”

Admission is $10 per person.

3. Bare Bones hosts Oshkosh Comedy Night

Prateek Srivastava will headline the Oshkosh Comedy Night April 19 at Bare Bones Brewery. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at 4362 County S.

Srivastava is a nationally touring comedian based in L.A. He has performed at festivals across the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, NBCUniversal Break Out Festival at Second City, Limestone Comedy Festival “Laugh Your Asheville” Festival, and Milwaukee Comedy Festival. He also has been on NPR, WGN America, Cannes Independent and Amazon Prime Video.

Special guests for this show are Sofia Javed and Aaron Clark.

4. Don your best wizard attire for dinner at The Howard

The Howard will host a Wizard Dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. April 20 at 405 Washington Ave.

When purchasing your tickets, select your house as seating will be determined by houses. All tickets for your party should be purchased together to ensure seating is available in your chosen house.

Dinner will be served as a community style meal inspired by the wizarding world. Witch and wizard attire is encouraged. There will be opportunities throughout the event to gather house points.

Tickets are $50 per person and include a welcome drink. A cash bar is available for additional beverages.

5. Leadership Oshkosh hosts annual Trivia Night fundraiser

The annual Leadership Oshkosh Trivia Night is set for April 25. It will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Fox River Brewing Company, 1501 Arboretum Drive.

Each year, the Leadership Oshkosh class hosts a Trivia Night as a fundraising effort to support the continuation of the Leadership Oshkosh program and a non-profit of their choosing. This year, the class has chosen the Damascus Road Project to be the beneficiary. The event will include trivia, food and a silent auction.
