In January, Lowder debuted in MLB Pipeline's top 100, at No. 34. He's currently ranked 30th.

Lowder's promotion came on the same day right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes, the first overall pick in last year's draft, was promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis to the Majors. Skenes is expected to make his first big-league start on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park.

Lowder was the seventh overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Right-handed pitcher Andrew Moore was transferred from Chattanooga to Dayton.
