Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away. If you don't feel like cooking or want to share a meal with community members, here's where you can find a local Thanksgiving dinner.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army in Port Huron will hold its annual community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 23.
The dinner is free and includes the traditional Thanksgiving dinner items. Carry out is an option, but will be limited.
The Salvation Army is located at 2000 Court St., Port Huron.
BWROC
The Blue Water Recovery Outreach Center will hold a free community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 23.
People can expect the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with items like turkey and mashed potatoes.
BWROC is located at 617 10th St. in Port Huron.
Freighters Eatery and Taproom
Freighter's Eatery and Taproom will once again host Thanksgiving dinner. Reservations are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 23. Reservations can be made by calling Freighter's and are open until filled.
The menu has three main dish choices such as glazed turkey, beef brisket and Alaskan Coho salmon. Other menu items include green bean casserole, rolls, potato soup, mashed potatoes and gravy and more.
The cost of dinner is $39 for adults and $15 for children 10 years old or younger. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at (810) 941-6010.
Freighter's Eatery and Taproom is located at 800 Harker St. in Port Huron.
Chef Shell's Restaurant and Catering
Chef Shell's is taking orders for a catered Thanksgiving dinner until Nov. 17.
The ordered dinner will include salad, roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing and other Thanksgiving classics. People can pick up their orders cold from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 22.
Orders will cost $21 per person and can be made by calling Chef Shell's Restaurant and Catering at (810) 966-8371.
