Resident jumps to safety from second-story balcony during Randolph apartment complex fire:

RANDOLPH — A large fire broke out at the Woodview apartment complex in Randolph on Sunday night and displaced dozens of residents.

One resident, who was trapped on a second-floor balcony where the fire is believed to have started, jumped to safety before firefighters were able to get to him, news partner WCVB reported. He suffered minor injuries.

At this time, it is unknown how many additional residents suffered injuries as a result of the fire.

The 30-unit building, which is located at 60 Bridle Path Circle, houses about 80 residents. After the fire, residents were reportedly taken to a community center to meet with the Red Cross to find places to relocate, WCVB reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Randolph Fire Chief Ronald Cassford could not be immediately reached for comment.
