Baby animals are a lot like baby humans; they're cute, they need a lot of attention from their mamas, and they both can get hiccups during a feeding. Even a baby raccoon, as an adorable video from a wildlife rehab facility in Maine shows.

We hadn't even seen a baby raccoon before, let alone see a baby raccoon hiccup.

The clip from the Saco River Wildlife Center is just the sweetest thing. The young raccoon was still in a daze after its feeding. Resting on its caretaker's chest, the little one broke out into the smallest hiccups we've ever seen. The baby raccoon's whole body sprung up from the force of the hiccup. It really reminds us of when human babies drink their milk too fast and need to burp.

People in the comments section were positively smitten. "Pat the baby’s back!!!" one commenter urged. "Maybe pat her back to burp," another person agreed. "The sweetest angel baby!!" a third commenter exclaimed. "Now I wanna feed a raccoon baby, this is so cute," one person admitted.

More About the Saco River Wildlife Center

There are so many animals like this one at Saco River. The organization says its mission is to rehabilitate the many injured, ill, or orphaned animals throughout Maine and to "promote compassion and awareness through educational resources and programs," the website states.

Started in 2015, the organization was started by Bethany Brown. Anyone can call Saco River and report a sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife animal. And they treat so many different types of animals too. You can report an animal as small as a bat to medium-sized mammals like foxes. They also take birds and squirrels too. They advised anyone who finds an animal in need to call their wildlife hotline before attempting to capture the animal on their own.

You can support their mission in a myriad of ways too. Donations go a long way at the wildlife rehab center. They contribute to the wellbeing and care of the animals. And people can make monthly or yearly donations as well.

Just think, your donation can make it possible for baby raccoons like this one to start its life off with so many resources, Every animal deserves to be cared for like this little guy.
