The Kansas Legislature began a new session Monday and you might be wondering how you can get involved.

The Kansas House of Representative consists of 125 members and the Kansas Senate consists of 40 senators. The Legislature meets from January to May each year. Here’s what to know.

How do I find my Kansas lawmaker?

It’s important to stay informed about the decisions happening in Topeka. One way to make sure your voice is heard is to know who’s representing you and how to contact them.

To find your representative and senator, use this online tool, where you can type in your address and your representative and senator will pop up.

To find more information, visit the Kansas Legislature’s website, where you can view members of the house and senate’s names and contact information in alphabetical order.

If you want to keep up to date with meetings, the website also updates frequently to document what is going on in Topeka. All 2023 session bills will be downloaded under the “Bills and Laws” tab on the Legislature’s website.

If you’re interested in your federal representation, you can use an online tool from Congress to enter your address to see who’s representing you in Washington, D.C.
