Report: Seahawks Have Made Decision On Pete Carroll
Late in the regular season, there was some speculation that the Seattle Seahawks could look to move on from longtime head coach Pete Carroll.
However, one week after the end of the season, there’s been no indication Carroll is being fired. A new report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen says he won’t be.
Mortensen said Sunday morning that after Carroll and general manager John Schneider met with owner Jody Allen on Thursday, “all systems are go” for the pair to return for the 2022 campaign.

Now that we know Carroll and Schneider will be back, all that is left is to settle the situation involving quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson reportedly “wants to explore his options” this offseason.
After posting a 12-4 record in 2020, the Seahawks slumped to 7-10 in 2021, their first losing season in a decade. In his career with the Seahawks, Carroll has posted an overall record of 119-73-1, leading the team to the playoffs nine times.
