New Orleans Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson has not played in a game this season as he continues to rehab from offseason foot surgery.

Last week, Williamson reportedly experienced soreness in his foot, delaying his return. The 2019 No. 1 overall pick would have to rest before the Pelicans ramped up his workload again.

On Sunday night, a photo of Williamson at a Pelicans game went viral on social media. There were a number of people who expressed concern at his appearance and wondered if he had put on a significant amount of weight.

Well, according to ESPN’s Tim McMahon, that might be the case. On a new episode of “The Lowe Post Podcast,” McMahon said he has heard Williamson weighs 330 pounds.

On his official NBA.com player page, the former Duke star is listed at 6-foot-6, 284 pounds.

If–and we caution there is no confirmation on that number yet–Williamson really does weigh 330, that’s a bad sign. Not only for his physical health given his leg troubles, but also for his mental health as he continues to be away from the game.

Hopefully Williamson’s foot allows him to get back on the court and compete sooner rather than later.
