Matt Nagy doesn’t appear to have any bitter feelings toward Justin Fields or the Chicago Bears.

During an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show on Thursday, Kyle Brandt said that Nagy expressed his confidence in Fields as the Bears’ starting quarterback moving forward.

Nagy reportedly went as far to say Fields has everything you could want in a franchise quarterback. He also expects the former college star to become an NFL star one day.

“Justin Fields has it,” Nagy reportedly said. “He has everything. He is the real deal. They got the right guy and he will be a star in this league.”

There have been questions regarding whether or not Fields is the real deal. The Bears aren’t going to rush to any decisions before they see what he’s capable of in year two, though.

The expectation is that Fields takes a major jump this upcoming season. Nagy is gone, which was a step in the right direction for the NFL’s Chicago franchise. Now it’s up to Fields to prove whether or not he can be the guy.

Fields threw for 1,870 yards and seven touchdowns with 10 picks during his rookie season.
