The Curry family is expected to be on hand for Game 1 of the Western Conference second round playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies.

Steph Curry’s parents likely won’t be sitting next to each other, though.

Last year, it was reported that Steph’s parents, Dell and Sonya Curry, were getting divorced. “Irreconcilable differences” were reportedly cited as the reason for the divorce between the notable NBA couple.

The news shocked most of the NBA world, as Dell and Sonya had often been seen sitting together at Steph and Seth’s games.

“We are so thankful for all the many blessings and successes! We stay committed to and supportive of our children and grandchildren and will remain on connected paths. We ask that our privacy be respected and prayer for our family as we move forward,” a joint statement read.

The New York Post had some notable details on the divorce:

Last August, TMZ said court records revealed that Sonya filed for divorce on June 14 in North Carolina — and that the exes accused each other of cheating. It’s unknown whether the divorce has been finalized.

Sonya and Dell married in 1988, the same year Steph was born. Dell, a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 1994, was still playing at the time. The couple welcomed Seth in 1990, and daughter Sydel Curry in 1994.

Divorce is never easy, but the Currys appear to be handling it with class.

Game 1 between Golden State and Memphis is set for 3:30 p.m. E.T.
