Report: Jets Coach Critically Injured In Biking Accident
New York Jets passing game specialist Greg Knapp was involved in a serious accident over the weekend that has reportedly left him critically injured.
According to Mike Klis of 9News, Knapp is hospitalized in critical injuries due to a bicycle accident. This accident occurred in California, as a car struck Knapp while he was riding his bike.
Knapp, 58, was hired by Jets head coach Robert Saleh in January. He spent the past three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons under Dan Quinn.
Though he’s never been a head coach in the NFL, Knapp proved how valuable he can be to a coaching staff during his time with the Denver Broncos.
“He was Broncos QB coach from 2013-16,” Klis wrote. “Peyton set single-season passing records (55 TDs/5,477 yds) that still stand with Knapp in 2013. Knapp helped bring Trevor Siemian from 7th round to 18 TD/3401 yd passer in 2016.”

Several people have sent their well wishes to Knapp on social media this Tuesday.
“Greg Knapp, a former 49ers and Raiders assistant, makes his offseason home in the East Bay,” Maiocco tweeted. “One of the absolute best people I’ve met in this line of work. Communicated with him recently, and he was so excited about future with Jets. Thinking of Greg and his family.”
