Report: Alex Rodriguez Is ‘Just Friends’ With NFL Reporter
Alex Rodriguez is no longer with Jennifer Lopez, who’s since moved onto her old fling, Ben Affleck. Datings rumors have since begun to swirl for the former MLB star.
Earlier this week, the former New York Yankees star was spotted with sports reporter Melanie Collins. As the internet likes to do, unfounded dating rumors were pushed.
However, Page Six is reporting that Rodriguez and Collins are “just friends.”
According to the report, Rodriguez and Collins were introduced through a pair of mutual friends. They were hanging out together ahead of Rodriguez’s birthday party. A-Rod turned 46 years old on Tuesday.

Sources exclusively tell Page Six the pair, who were recently spotted at a luxe lunch in St. Tropez, were introduced through their mutual pals Jessie James Decker and her husband, Eric Decker. The country music star and former NFL player are also vacationing in the area.
A source also told us that Collins — as well as the Deckers — are expected to be among about 50 guests at Rodriguez’s 46th birthday party on Tuesday night. We hear the bash will be on A-Rod’s boat, as well as at another venue on land.
Rodriguez and Collins were simply hanging out as friends, per the report.
“Alex has been hanging with friends and family on the trip, including Eric and Jessie James Decker. Melanie is good friends with them,” a source told Page Six. “They’re all friends and she’ll be at his party.”
It’s been a big year for Rodriguez. Outside of the dating world, he’s part of the new ownership group for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rodriguez was spotted wearing T-Wolves shorts during his beach trip.
