Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, promoter of QAnon conspiracy theories, back on Twitter after brief ban

A Republican lawmaker took to Twitter Wednesday to lament Donald Trump’s exit from office days after the site temporarily suspended her for promoting QAnon conspiracy theories.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, who reps Georgia’s 14th congressional district, used her platform to lambast the Democrats and speak to the now-gone lame-duck president’s base.

“The vast majority of Republican voters, volunteers, and donors are no longer loyal to the GOP, Republican Party, and candidates just because they have an R by their name,” wrote Green in a tweet.

“They feel sold out by R’s who didn’t fight harder against the radical socialist agenda that Biden & Dems are bring.”

Along with about 70,000 others, Green’s account was temporarily suspended last week as Twitter cracked down on users who promote dangerous conspiracy theories as part of its civic integrity policy.

The congresswoman gained national notice for peddling thoroughly debunked conspiracy theories like arguing the deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., was “an inside job.”

The comments were rooted in the QAnon conspiracy cult that believes ex-President Trump was fighting to save humanity from a “deep state” sex cabal.
