A relationship guru had a great time at Art Basel. Problem was it wasn’t with his wife

They’ll always have Miami Beach.

An Atlanta based relationship expert is dealing with his own personal issues at present after being spotted enjoying Art Basel with someone who was most definitely not his wife, Da’Naia.

Derrick “Jaxn” Jackson, announced he was getting a divorce after photos emerged of him enjoying Miami Beach’s annual art fair earlier this month with a lady friend.

The motivational speaker — whose motto is “I help people restore the broken relationship with themselves” — told his 1.3 million followers over the weekend that his family was experiencing a “new normal.”

The Alabama native apparently wrote the post to respond to those who have “speculated” about what is going on (a nice way of saying his alleged affair had gone viral).

The “A Cheating Man’s Heart” author implied that he and his longtime love had already split before his PDA filled outing in Miami, which included a stop at Brickell City Center.

“Earlier this year after much prayer, counseling, and deep consideration, we decided to go our separate ways and filed for divorce.”

Um, not so sure about the timing, there. Because just as recently as last month Da’Naia was railing on Twitter against trolls who said her marriage was rocky and accused her husband of not such moral behavior.

“Every person speaking against the names Da’Naia Jackson and Derrick Jaxn in mockery, accusations, slanders and lies, may the mercies of God be withdrawn from you. May your husbands and wives become widows,” she said. “Let your children become fatherless. Let your seed become vagabonds on the earth. Let the words of your mouth and the work of your hands be returned back to you. Let it go down your throat and choke you slowly until your days become few on the earth.”

After voraciously quoting the Bible, a la Will Smith, she cautioned followers to “keep our names out your mouth. Have a blessed day.”

At least Jackson is content now. The 33 year old businessman wraps up his announcement by saying he has found “peace” in his decision, “knowing that our mission of raising healthy children, starting with healthy and whole parents is still being accomplished.”

Don’t go looking to Da’Nai for answers or a response; her Insta account was set to private. This isn’t the mother of two’s first rodeo, however. The Sun reports she already filed for divorce once amid cheating rumors as far back as 2020, and we’re sure we’ll be hearing from her again, perhaps in court documents.

The fate of the exes’ husband-wife advice podcast, Heal Together, is unclear.
