Red River Chorale to present final concert of season Thursday at Alexandria Church

The Red River Chorale will present the final concert of its 17th season at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (May 16) at First Presbyterian Church, 357 Windermere Blvd.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. They are available online at redriverchorale.com and will be sold at the door.

“Common Threads” is about emotions shared by all humans, with themes such as love, sorrow, joy or devotion, and composers have used those themes in a variety of styles and tractions, according to a news release issued by the Chorale.

“All humanity shares these feelings, and this concert embraces these sensitive themes in a variety of beautiful styles, composed primarily by contemporary American musicians,” the release says.

The Red River Chorale is a 40-voice auditioned chorus founded in 2005.
