What: Dumb Records is hosting its 2024 Record Store Day, where shoppers will get their first chance of hundreds of exclusive releases coming out on Saturday. The first 100 people in line will receive a free Dumb Records t-shirt, and in-store shopping will be limited to 20 shoppers at a time. Coffee and donuts will also be provided. The sale is followed by a show featuring five bands.

When: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday

Earth Awareness Fair

What: The City of Springfield, in partnership with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library, will host the 32nd Annual Earth Awareness Fair at Union Square Park. The longest-running Earth Fair in Illinois, the event is the last winter’s farmers market before the regular market begins in May.

When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday

Art in the Park

What: It's National Park Week and what better way to celebrate with free, live music from the Illinois Symphony Orchestra? The Brass Quintet will be performing at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site as part of its Around the Town Chamber Concert series.

When: 2 p.m., Saturday

Emo Prom

What: It's not a phase, mom, emo prom is a lifestyle and part of a fun-filled Springfield weekend. The Pasfield House is the place to be Saturday night, accompanied with art from Severyn Designs, flash tattoos from Electric Quill, treats from Chef Chris and more.

When: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday

Where: 525 E. Pasfield St.

More: Tickets can be purchased at the Pasfield House website. The event is intended for those 21 and older.

Midsummer's Night Dream

What: Travel back to the 12th century for the Copper Coin Ballet Company's latest performance: A Midsummer's Night Dream. One of William Shakespeare's most famous works, those wishing to attend will have two opportunities to do so on Saturday and Sunday at The Legacy Theatre.

When: 7 p.m. Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday

Where: 101 E Lawrence Ave.

More: Tickets are available online at The Legacy Theatre website, costing $25 in-advance and $30 day of show.
