Record number of Georgians voted early Monday, including more than 4,000 in Bibb County

Statewide early voting in the Senate runoff began Monday, and a record number of Georgians cast their ballots early, including more than 4,000 in Bibb County.

Incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) and Herschel Walker (R) are vying for a coveted U.S. Senate seat in a Dec. 6 runoff. More than 300,000 Georgians voted early Monday, breaking the previous single-day record of 233,000, according to Capitol Beat.

In Bibb County, 4,115 votes have already been cast most of those at the election board’s main office on Pio Nono.

Early voting runs through Dec. 2. The two Bibb County early voting locations are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • The Board of Elections Main Office, 2525 Pio Nono Ave., Macon,

  • The Theron Ussery Recreation Center, 815 North Macon Park Drive, Macon

Please note that these are the early voting locations only. If you choose to vote on the date of the election, Dec. 6, these locations will not be available, unless they are your voting precinct. You cannot vote at the board of elections office on Election Day, only at your appropriate voting precinct.

Houston County early voting

There are four early voting locations in Houston County:

  • Houston County Board of Elections, 2030 Kings Chapel Road, Perry from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Houston Health Pavilion Conference Center, 233 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Central Georgia Technical College: Roy H. “Sonny Watson Health Sciences”, 71 Cohen Walker Drive from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

  • North Houston Sports Complex, 900 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
