A Recent Divorcee Finds a New Leash On Life in Hallmark's 'The More Love Grows'

While many people hit their prime in their 20s and 30s, some don't hit their full stride until their 40s and beyond. In Hallmark Movies & Mysteries latest film, a 40-something recent divorcee finds herself with a new lease on life—and a new leash on life—as she takes in a stray pup and copes with her new divorcee status and an empty nest.

What is The More Love Grows about?

Just after Helen (Rachel Boston) and her husband Paul (Patrick Gilmore) return home from moving their daughter Aly (Roan Curtis) into her college dorm, he breaks the unexpected news that he wants a separation. Not sure where to go from here, Helen struggles with her new-found single status. When an adorable, stray dog turns up on her doorstep, Helen reluctantly takes him in and dubs him Elmer… because he sticks to her like glue. He provides welcome company and also leads her to Ben (Warren Christie), a veterinarian who helps her navigate first-time dog ownership. Slowly, Helen wiggles out of her comfort zone, rediscovers her inner strength and begins to rebuild her life as she starts down a new path full of promise and possibility.

Rachel Boston (Helen)

A Tennessee native, Boston has had main cast roles on series such as American Dreams, In Plain Sight, and Witches of East End. She has appeared in over a dozen Hallmark Media films including The Christmas Carousel, Dating the Delaneys, and The Last Bridesmaid.

Warren Christie (Ben)

Christie has starred in series such as October Road, Alphas, and Happy Town. He has also had recurring roles on The Resident and Batwoman. He has appeared in several Hallmark movies including Crashing Through the Snow and If I Only Had Christmas.
