You could be heading inside for your next round of golf thanks to a new virtual experience swinging into downtown Doylestown.

Will Wister plans to bring the sport in from the cold this winter with the opening of Main Swing Golf, a new indoor golf lounge offering an entertaining and interactive virtual experience for every level of golfer.

“It’s for everyone from the novice golfer who’s never picked up a club before all the way to highly experienced golfers who need shot analysis data such as club speed, spin rate and swing distance to improve their game,” said Wister.

Main Swing Golf will be located on the second floor of Main Street Marketplace in Doylestown Borough, joining several restaurants and shops, including Hops/Scotch, Pennsylvania Soup & Seafood House, Harper & Penny’s, Spuntino Wood Fire Pizzeria, Cup & Cake Company, Urban Luxe and Olive Oil Etcetera.

The facility will feature four golf bays — equipped with Trackman iO, a golf simulator technology designed to deliver a realistic experience — and lounge with comfortable seating and televisions to provide a space for relaxing between turns.

When will Main Swing Golf open?

They aim to open by mid-December.

Memberships and gift cards will be available online beginning Black Friday.

  • Practice and analysis: The technology provides shot analysis, putting analysis, driving range, target practice, and more. Lessons with a live instructor are also available.

  • Virtual golf: Choose from a virtual library containing more than 260 courses across 31 countries, including world famous venues like Pebble Beach in California, Muirfield Village in Ohio and Kiawah in South Carolina all the way to St. Andrews Old Course in Scotland, Wentworth in England and Valderrama in Spain.

  • Games: Play a variety of entertaining games designed for all ages and skill levels, including Bullseye, Capture the Flag, Scrapyard and more.

  • Tournaments: Join a Main Swing Golf league and play in tournaments where you can compete with other Trackman users around the country.

Is Main Swing Golf only for serious golfers?

While it offers many opportunities for serious golfers to improve their game, the golf lounge is also for non-golfers looking for a fun activity to do together with friends and family, said Wister.

“It’s almost like an entertainment destination. It’s meant to be a gathering activity for a group of friends, family, coworkers, a place to relax and have fun, almost like going axe throwing or playing mini golf,” he said.

How much does it cost to play golf at Main Swing?

Hourly rates range from $50-60 an hour depending on day and time, plus a one-time $5 membership fee. Golfers can bring their own clubs or rent a set for $10 a visit.

Memberships are also available:

  • Annual Membership: $2400/year includes four peak hours (Friday-Sunday) and unlimited off-peak hours (Monday-Thursday). 12-month commitment required.

  • Junior Membership(under 25 years old): $2000/year includes four peak hours (Friday-Sunday) and unlimited off-peak hours (Monday-Thursday). 12-month commitment required.

  • Monthly Membership: $250/month includes two peak hours (Friday-Sunday) and unlimited off-peak hours (Monday-Thursday). Month-to-month contract.

Is it a BYOB golf lounge?

Yes, Main Swing Golf will be a bring-your-own-beverage venue.

Customers also welcome to bring along food purchased from restaurants from within the marketplace.

Can the golf lounge be rented for private events?

The space can be rented for private events, including birthday parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties and corporate events.
