Ready for takeoff: JetBlue, Breeze, Frontier and Play post end-of-summer sales

It’s a week of deals on flights, with JetBlue, Breeze Airways and Frontier Airlines all announcing sales and perks if you’re ready to book soon. JetBlue, Breeze’s promotions are for reduced-price tickets, while Frontier’s giving away free carry-ons, which they would usually charge for.

Iceland-based low cost carrier Play also announced a sale for Labor Day, with discounts to some European destinations.

If you’re ready to pack your bags and get out of town, here’s all the fine print you need to know about to take advantage of what’s on offer from the low-cost airlines.

JetBlue’s Big Fall Sale

JetBlue is offering deals on flights booked through Thursday with fares as low as $39 each way. Travel covered by the sale is for flights from Sept. 6 through Nov. 15 excluding Fridays and Sundays.

Routes with $39 fares include New York to Charleston, S.C., Orlando to Buffalo and Los Angeles to San Francisco.

Other deals are also available and listed on JetBlue’s website. According to the airline, additional blackout dates may apply on some routes, and sale fares and flights may not be available every day on every route.

JetBlue Vacations is also offering package deals for as little as $313 during the promotion.

30% off all Breeze flights

Breeze is selling all flights for 30% off the base fare through Thursday if you use the promo code YOUDOYOU at checkout.

Meanwhile, the airline is also running a promotion for two round-trip flights and two National Park passes. Plus, the winner will also receive passes to a bridge tour at the New River Gorge National Park. To enter, visit Breeze’s Instagram page.

Breeze’s home airport is in Provo, Utah, and the airline focuses on leisure destinations and secondary airports near major cities.

Frontier’s free carry-on bags

Book a new flight on Frontier today for travel Sept. 5 through Feb. 13 and you can bring a carry-on bag for free.

To take advantage of the promotion, you must add your carry-on bag while making the reservation – the deal does not apply after you book or if you just show up at the airport with a carry-on.

According to Frontier, the deal covers one carry-on per passenger per direction, so connecting flights are included.

Play’s sale

Iceland-based low cost carrier Play is offering $129 flights to Iceland and $159 flights to Copenhagen, London, Dublin, Amsterdam and Glasgow. To take advantage, you have to book between Aug. 30 and Sept. 4, for travel between October and March. Flights around Thanksgiving and the winter holidays are excluded from the deal.

Departures from Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, New York Stewart international Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport are all eligible.
