Ready for Sporting KC’s first 2023 home game? What to know about tickets, parking, more
The 2023 Major League Soccer season is underway, and Sporting KC is finally playing at home.
After two games on the road, the team hosts its first home game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday against the LA Galaxy.
If you’ve never been to Children’s Mercy Park or you’re a proud member of The Cauldron, Sporting KC’s superfan seating section, here’s what you need to know about attending games this year.
HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

Ticket prices vary, from $25 to $300, depending on the day, whom they’re playing and where the seats are.
Premium tickets get you access to suites and seats such as the Field Club, Bud Light Landing and Audi Sport Club. You’ll also have access to in-seat food and drink service. If you have a large group, click here and submit a request to reserve a space.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
For non-season ticket members, you can park at any of these spots:
Blue Lot 1 and 2
Nebraska Furniture Mart lot 2
Orange lot
Hollywood Casino lot
All of these parking options are available for purchase on SeatGeek.
Season ticket members can park at any of those lots, and they also have the option for the following:
Nebraska Furniture Mart lot 1, which is only available to UMB Field Club season ticket members and suite ticket purchasers.
White Lot, which is available for season ticket holders.
The parking lots open three hours before kickoff and close two hours after the game ends. If your car is still in the lot then, it will be towed to the red lot near Nebraska Furniture Mart.
WHAT CAN I BRING INTO CHILDREN’S MERCY PARK?
You can only bring in clear bags that are smaller than 12-by-12-by-6 inches, small clutches smaller than 4.5-by-6.5 inches, or diaper bags. All bags will be searched.
These items aren’t allowed inside the stadium:
Any bags larger than 12-by-12-by-6 inches
Animals, but registered service pets are allowed
Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
Backpacks, including purse backpacks and clear backpacks
Drones
Fireworks of any kind
Illegal drugs and substances
Inflated soccer balls
Laptops
Laser pointers
Noise making devices such as horns, bells, thundersticks, vuvuzelas and whistles
Outside food or beverages
Pamphlets, handouts or advertisements not approved by Children’s Mercy Park management
Professional cameras with detachable lenses and associated equipment
Recreational vehicles like bicycles, skateboards and hoverboards
Selfie-sticks
Umbrellas
Video cameras
Weapons, like knives or guns
Children’s Mercy Park staff can also deem any item dangerous and not allow it inside the stadium.
