'You ready to come home?': Fairfield's Erick All gets call from Bengals' Zac Taylor
After suffering season-ending injuries in his final two seasons in college, former Fairfield High School standout Erick All deserved some good news.
The tight end and fourth-round pick got that news Saturday when he found out he's coming home to play for the Cincinnati Bengals.
All will see plenty of familiar faces in the Bengals' locker room. A high school teammate of Bengals offensive lineman Jackson Carman, All played at Michigan with Bengals defensive backs Dax Hill and DJ Turner II, punter Brad Robbins, and running back Chris Evans.
"You ready to come home?" Bengals head coach Zac Taylor asked All in the phone call to inform him of the pick.

Last year, the Bengals didn’t draft a mid-round tight end because the skill set they were looking for wasn’t on the board when they were on the clock.
They’ve been trying to get more versatile at that position. It’s why they valued TE Erick All. pic.twitter.com/zLplAOS9rj— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) April 27, 2024

Dan Pitcher on Erick All: "I wish you could see (tight ends coach) James Casey right now. He's fired up."
"He's a physical guy that's also going to help us in the run game."
"When you find a guy that lives adequately at both (blocking and passing), that's a big deal."— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) April 27, 2024
Erick All said he had a henriated disk in his back and that was in the injury that cut his season short in 2022. Says there's no issues with his back at all now #Bengals

The Bengals didn't draft Sam LaPorta last year. This year, they take the Iowa tight end in Erick All (who was a captain at Michigan before he transferred).
He has good size and the ability to play multiple roles. He has also had two significant injuries.— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) April 27, 2024
