Voting for the Mansfield News Journal Male Athlete of the Week is now open.

Here are your nominees.

*Madison’s Ethan Glasgo had a hit and also tossed a complete game allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in a 3-1 win over Perkins.

*Lucas’ Judah Chamberlin had two hits in a 4-1 win over Central Christian and earned the win on the mound allowing three runs, just one earned, on four hits with nine strikeouts in a 4-3 victory over South Central.

*Ontario’s Carter Weaver allowed three runs, just one earned, on six hits with nine strikeouts and added a hit and an RBI in a 7-3 victory over Shelby.

*Shelby’s Nic Eyster had two hits and two RBIs while allowing two unearned runs on nine hits with five strikeouts on the mound in a 5-2 win over Ontario.

*Crestview’s Gavin Barker had three hits and two RBIs with a triple in a 5-2 win over Plymouth and two hist and an RBI in a 15-2 win over Lucas.

*Clear Fork’s Jay Jackson had two hits and an RBI in a 14-4 win over Lexington before adding two hits and four RBIs while earning the win on the mound allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits with five strikeouts in a 12-3 win over Bellevue.

*Lexington’s Will Perkins won the 400-meter dash at the Galion Kiwanis Invite with a time of 50-seconds.

*Shelby’s Graham Yeager won the discus at the Galion Kiwanis with a throw of 163-02.00.

*Shelby’s Ferron Pena won the shot put at the Galion Kiwanis with a throw of 52-04.00.

*The Ontario 4x800 relay team of Xavier Trent, Dean Morrison, Austin Boughton and Jace Young took first at the Galion Kiwanis with a time of 8:01.74.

*Lexington’s Ethan Remy was named the Ohio Cardinal Conference Boys Tennis Player of the Year after winning the first singles bracket at the OCC tournament.

*Ontario’s Pablo Sanchez Vidal won first singles at the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference tournament leading the Warriors to the team championship.

Voting ends at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Last week's News Journal Male Athlete of the Week was Madison’s Ashton Taylor who piled up 4,746 votes.
