How to wear white jeans in winter
Who says you can't wear white jeans after Labor Day? Certainly not me. While my darker denim is definitely getting a lot of wear, I'm still pulling out my white jeans on a regular basis. They're a year-round staple for me – whether it's blazing hot in August or below 30 in February.
The trick to making them work for winter is simply pairing them with the right things. Think: tailored coats, leather boots, plenty of winter white, and heavy knitwear. The latter is my favorite way to do it. I find myself reaching for chunky knits all season long, and they really make for a great pairing with white jeans. This cozy sweater (a piece that will certainly be on heavy rotation this season) from Emerson Fry is the perfect example. White jeans are so light and have an airy feeling to them, so to make them work in the winter, they need something heavy. This chunky sweater is exactly that. If what the weatherman says is true and we're actually in for a dip in temperatures, then this is probably what I'll be wearing all weekend long. Crossing my fingers.
