Prince William & Duchess Kate arrive in New York City
Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, arrive at their hotel on December 7, 2014 in New York City. The royal couple are on an official two-day visit to New York.

The royals looked lovely - even though for them it felt to be around 11pm at night!

At long last, they have arrived! After days of preparations and hours upon hours of television coverage talking about it... The Cambridges are finally in New York! After multiple confirmations – and then retractions – on Twitter, the couple landed at JFK International Airport around 4:30 pm EST. They then immediately made their way to the Carlyle Hotel on the Upper East Side via motorcade through one of the busiest cities in the world – a definite plus when battling NYC traffic!
The Carlyle is one of the oldest and swankiest hotels in New York City, and was a favourite of Princess Diana when she was in New York as we talked about yesterday. It's right on the edge of Central Park, so their Royal Highnesses will undoubtedly enjoy a spectacular view from their suite.

Looking not even remotely like she had just gotten off a trans-Atlantic flight, Kate was glowing as she and William arrived at the hotel to prepare for their evening reception. Wearing a bespoke Seraphine Maternity coat called the "Marina" (amazing ID, What Kate Wore), tights, booties and carrying a black clutch, Kate looked impossibly fresh considering the travel and her pregnancy! And yes, to answer many questions, she does have her hair done before arriving on the plane.
