Net-a-Porter Now Airdropping Luxury Goods to People in Hamptons for Same Day Delivery

As anyone who watches Revenge knows, New York's rich person population dwindles dangerously low in the summer, as those with private planes and chauffeured drivers are mandated to relocate to (say it with me now) the Hamptons.

The only problem is that though the Hamptons are bountiful in beach, sun and general necessities (like hot tubs and crab cakes), it has lacked one major essential: Same day access to McQueen, Saint Laurent, Margiela and more. Think of all the rich people who have been stranded in the Hamptons without access to luxury goods delivered on the same day!

Well, no more. The injustice is over. Net-a-Porter will now be airlifting (via The Standard's seaplane) emergency luxury items ordered on the site before 10am and dropping them off at your beach mansion on the same day, between 5pm and 9pm.

"Our Premier same-day delivery service is enormously popular with our customers in New York City and the surrounding suburbs," Net-a-Porter president Alison Loehnis said in the release. "As so many of these women–and more–vacation in the Hamptons, the decision to extend the service was an easy one."

"Now if she forgets her bathing suit or is in need of a last-minute outfit, we can deliver to her door within hours," she added.

Same-day deliveries will be available for a $25 flat fee in Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Sagaponack, Amagansett, Wainscott, Water Mill and Montauk, N.Y, from July 11 until Labor Day.

And all joking aside, this is actually a really smart idea. We're sure that little seaplane's going to be busy this summer.
