MAKERS: a celebration of the women who shape our world

We all have heroes, those we look up to and individuals we thank for giving us the rights we have today. Here at StyleList, we are extremely grateful for the women who have paved the way for the rest of us: those we know personally, and those we've never met.

MAKERS is an initiative from AOL and PBS that celebrates the women who make America. The MAKERS team has had the honor of sitting down with Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Katie Couric, Oprah Winfrey, and so many more. These are incredible women who laid the foundation for women's advancement in the world (and are continuing to do so).

They are entrepreneurs, activists, authors, engineers, politicians, journalists, biologists, groundbreakers. From stepping into a male-dominated profession and refusing to give up, to deciding that where you've come from doesn't determine where you will go, MAKERS has the largest video collection of women's stories on the internet, and they're sure to dazzle you.

Visit to learn more, and browse through over 150 videos telling the story of these incredible women, and tune in tonight, February 26th at 8pm ET, to watch the world premiere "MAKERS: Women Who Make America" on PBS!
