Jennifer Aniston in the prime of her life: Why she loves Justin, and why she forgave Brad

Jennifer Aniston is in a really good place in her life, perhaps the best she's ever been, and she wants you to know it -- but she doesn't necessarily care what you think. "I've had more fun post-40 than I can remember," Aniston says in the December/January issue of Harper's BAZAAR. "From a work point of view, a physical point of view, a psychotherapeutic point of view."

And as for that previous marriage, and the negative media narrative that followed her after it disintegrated? You know, the 'poor, sad, lonely Jen' bit? Says Aniston,

There was a part of me that used to get very upset...Now I'd rather just focus on people and things that are here, happening, and what's yet to come. My friends, my family, wonderful people I work with. We know what the real is.

Aniston credits all this positive energy to a close circle of girlfriends she's had for decades ("I'm a pretty good judge of character, shall I say,"), as well as a break from dating she took before beginning her current relationship with Justin Theroux. "It really helped me get to a place where I was more comfortable with myself, truly ready for love and for a partner," she says.

When it comes to talking about Theroux, Aniston doesn't shy away. "I just think it's so attractive to be that good at so many things and to have no ego. He's one of the most humble, decent human beings," she says of her fiancé, with whom she shares a home in Los Angeles.

Aniston is in the prime of her life, and she's not apologizing for it. See her full photo shoot for the Harper's Bazaar December/January issue here.
