Emma Watson has HUGE news: Will play Belle in new Beauty and the Beast remake!
We swear we just heard a collective "YES!" around the world: Emma Watson has just announced she'll be playing Belle in Disney's upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast remake! Hot on the heels of Cinderella, which stars Lily James from Downton Abbey and will be in theaters in March, Emma is the first to be cast in Beauty and the Beast.
She's played our favorite know-it-all witch in Harry Potter, the loveable Sam in Perks of Being a Wallflower, and now she'll be a Disney Princess. Does it get much better than that? Oh, right, let's not forget the groundbreaking work she is doing with the UN's He For She campaign. (Seriously, you have to see her latest speech.) If anyone deserves to be a Princess, we think Emma is it.
