Candace Cameron Bure reveals her post-DWTS fitness routine

Candace Cameron Bure may not have won 'Dancing With The Stars' this season, but if anyone watched her transformation, it's hard to deny how incredibly toned and cut her body became. Candace has been very upfront with her weight struggles, which is why we loved seeing her seriously toned physic during the finale.

StyleList caught up with Candace to find out how she plans on keeping her new found dancer's body and more!

StyleList (SL): How does it feel to be done with DWTS?
Candace (C): DWTS was everything I was hoping it would be. I'd been a fan of the show for a long time and I was thrilled that this season worked out for me. My personal goal was to not be eliminated until week six, and the fact that I made it to the finale and took the bronze, was amazing. I was so proud of myself and just humbled by the amount of fans that voted me through.


SL: What was your fitness routine before the show?
C: Normally, I'd do cardio and I like weight training/heavy lifting, but I had to stop that because it was was just too much on my body to do it with dancing.

SL: Did your body change at all?
C: I came in fit and I'm glad. That's why people end up losing so much weight. For me, I actually had to increase what I was eating. After the first three weeks I lost about 4-5 pounds, which doesn't sound like a lot but I'm already a small person. My husband and my partner that week Tony Dovolani told me I was looking too thin and needed to eat more. I ended up having a food service that gave me like 1500 calories a day. I made sure to eat it all and by the end, I weighed the same. My body is so much leaner. My waist and arms are a lot smaller.

SL: How do you plan on keeping your dancer body?
C: My goal now is to maintain what I have. I've loved it (dance) so much, I'm going to incorporate dance into my fitness routine. I have to find the right type of dance classes or even cardio barre. I was talking to Mark Ballas and he was saying that I should go to a real dance studio and find a partner. You don't have to compete to learn a routine and he says you'll sweat it out for an hour and be really tired by the end.
