Angelina Jolie: 'I'm open' to running for political office
Angelina Jolie is on the December cover of Vanity Fair, and besides looking positively stunning, the actress and humanitarian talks married life and career ambitions.
"It does feel different," Angelina tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Janine di Giovanni, of her relationship with Brad Pitt since their surprise wedding, this past August. "It feels nice to be husband and wife." Angelina also told the magazine that the couple's children wrote vows for her and Brad, insisting their parents always say 'Sorry,' after fighting. Adorable doesn't even begin to explain it.
di Giovanni got the sense that Angelina, who is very publicly involved with her humanitarian efforts, might be interested in running for a political office.
When pressed again, Angelina's response was simply, "I'm open."
"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered," she tells di Giovanni. "Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility." Jolie then catches herself. "But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful-I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible."
Whether Angelina Jolie will rise to political reign is still up in the air, but what is for sure is that the actress is a prolific powerhouse in her own right. Read more and see the stunning photos from Angelina Jolie's Vanity Fair cover story.
