Rare Pink Hulk, Black Panther Doll, Original Variant Covers Star In Disney Charity Auction

Pink PP Hulk Marvel Auction

Rare and one-off works including a one meter high pink Incredible Hulk, a weird Moon Knight painting, original variant cover sketches and a Black Panther doll, have been put up for auction by Disney and Marvel.

The items have been put up for sale as part of the Disney Create 100 initiative, celebrating 100 years of Disney, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli contributes the most visually striking item - PP Hulk - a sketch and specially commissioned one meter high 3D sculpt of Marvel’s iconic hero.

Chris Allen’s original art for the variant cover for Miles Morales: Spider-Man 42 is also in the lot, as is artist Nigo’s lifesize papier-mache sculpture of Yoda.

Marvel's Spider-Man is on a roll this week, with the PS5 game setting sales records in its first 24 hours. The comic book giant celebrated the release of the game with a series of variant covers based on the video game, and we honored it with our favourite Spider-Man variant comic covers the past five years.

The publisher continues to go hard on variant covers, showcasing new art lined up for Secret Wars Battleworld earlier this week, and a first look at Wolverine variant comic covers in time to celebrate angry little mutant's 50th birthday.
