Rapper T-Pain's vehicle struck by alleged drunk driver early Monday in Georgia

Rap artist T-Pain was involved in a hit-and-run incident involving an alleged drunk driver early Monday.

T-Pain posted video on Instagram, with his damaged vehicle and emergency personnel in the background, explaining to his followers that he was involved in a hit-and-run crash. After flying into the Atlanta airport, T-Pain, his wife, and his road manager were being driven to his home in Roswell when their vehicle was struck in the back by an SUV that drove away.

The only one reportedly injured was T-Pain's driver, although the rapper said he was experiencing neck and back pain.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Monday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Police were able to identify and track down a suspect from eye witness accounts and a license plate reader. The suspect's SUV had heavy front-end damage and a breathalyzer test indicated his blood alcohol content was double the legal limit. The alleged suspect was taken to jail on charges of driving under the influence and hit-and-run

T-Pain, who performed on Saturday in Las Vegas, has received 13 Grammy nominations and two wins, one for "Blame It" which was named "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" and one for "Good Life" which was named "Best Rap Song." His most popular collaboration was "Low" with Flo Rida, which received a "Diamond" status after selling 10 million copies.
