Are Rangers and Knicks fans panicking about playoffs? See their reactions on social media
Just a few days ago, it felt like the Knicks and Rangers couldn't lose a game.
My, how times have changed.
New York's once red-hot playoff teams have cooled down quite a bit, and each now find themselves embroiled in a playoff series in which they once controlled.
The Rangers couldn't close out the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night, losing 4-1 in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers, who took the first three games of the series, now have to travel back to Carolina for Game 6 on Thursday night.
The Knicks return home to The Garden on Tuesday night after dropping Games 3 and 4 to the Indiana Pacers − Sunday afternoon's loss a complete blowout. The Knicks were ahead, 2-0, in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but now must win Tuesday to regain control of the series.
Here's how fans are reacting to what's happening on social media:
Remember when the Knicks & Rangers were both up 2-0 and all we were talking about was that it felt like 1994 again….. #NYR#NewYorkForeverpic.twitter.com/ulht3VwyDA

Tough 24 hours for New York. Knicks lose by 50. Rangers are in the process of gagging a 3-0 series lead. And the Mets blow a 2 run lead in the 9th. The poverty never stops in that city

Rangers gonna blow a 3-0 lead.. smh.

@SavageNtheBox vibes are low in New York huh. Blown out by 30 and then og ruled out for day 5, rangers are choking and the Mets choked and no Yankees tonight

I quit New York sports. Last year, I went to therapy because of the Yankees. I had acute stress & complex PTSD cuz we didn’t make it to the playoffs. This year, the Knicks & Rangers have effectively raised my blood pressure. The Giants make me numb.
See you all tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/uznXSHldWE— SHEAL (@sheal) May 14, 2024
Indescribably worries about the New York Rangers, who claim to be a hockey team

New York:
Knicks (2-2) — L2
Rangers (3-2) — L2
Not ideal. pic.twitter.com/tWkhwwPlHE— Jasper Abrahams (@JZAbrahams2) May 14, 2024
