Over the past few weeks, Tyrann Mathieu has been linked to the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles. It appears we can now add the Los Angeles Rams to his list of potential suitors.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano has reported Mathieu and the Rams have mutual interest. The Rams don’t really have that much money to spend at the moment, but perhaps they can restructure some contracts to make it work.

As of now, the starting safeties for the Rams are Jordan Fuller and Taylor Rapp.

Unsurprisingly, Rams fans would love to see what the Honey Badger can do in Los Angeles.

Mathieu to the Rams would make a lot of sense. He recently said that he wants to play on a Super Bowl contender.

“This is my third time in free agency, unfortunately,” Mathieu said, via NFL.com. “This time around, it’s not about being the highest-paid safety. It’s not about breaking news or anything like that. I want my family to be comfortable. I think I’ve worked hard enough and long enough in this league to be able to have that. I want to play for a team that has a chance to win a championship, but outside of that, I want my kids and my family to be happy and be safe.”

If the Rams manage to sign Mathieu this offseason, it would make the defending champions an even greater threat in the NFC.
