If Odell Beckham Jr. is on the Los Angeles Rams’ roster for the 2022 season, he’ll most likely wear a different jersey number.

This past season, Beckham wore No. 3 for the Rams. On Wednesday, it was announced that running back Cam Akers is going to claim that number.

Beckham, meanwhile, remains an unrestricted free agent. He’s most likely on the open market because he suffered a torn ACL in Super Bowl LVI.

Some fans believe this move by Akers is a sign that Los Angeles will let Beckham sign elsewhere. However, the Rams have stated in the past they’d like to re-sign the veteran wideout.

“Odell is somebody that we want to continue to work with,” Rams head coach Sean McVay said during an appearance on Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio. “I can’t say enough about him as a teammate, as a person. I really love him, cherish our relationship that we were able to establish and develop, and I’m hopeful that there will be many more years to come with us working together.”

Beckham finished the regular season with 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He elevated his game in the postseason, hauling in 21 passes for 288 yards and two scores.

Do you think Beckham will return to the Rams?
