After the Raiders suffered a tough loss to the Chiefs, 30-29, under the prime-time lights of Monday Night Football, star wide receiver Davante Adams sent out a postgame apology to a photographer he shoved while walking to the locker room.

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game,” Adams tweeted. “Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.”

Adams slammed his helmet against the grass at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium after he and Hunter Renfrow collided with each other on fourth down.

The Chiefs went into victory formation to run out the clock.

After the game, cameras showed Adams walking to the locker room and shoving a cameraman who appeared to walk, possibly inadvertently, into the player’s path. A security guard helped the man to his feet.

In the locker room after the game, he commented on the incident, explaining what he thought had happened and saying he was sorry.

The Raiders, a seven-point underdog at kickoff, fell just short of a huge upset despite a huge effort from Adams and quarterback Derek Carr.

Carr and Adams connected just three times but for 124 yards, including two touchdowns.

The last one pulled Las Vegas within a point with 4:27 to play, but the Raiders went for two and the lead. The conversion attempt failed.

Las Vegas forced a Chiefs punt and were driving toward a possible winning field goal when on fourth-and-1, Adams and Renfrow collided as Carr’s pass sailed by and hit the turf.

Kansas City improved to 4-1 while the Raiders fell to 1-4.

NFL reviewing incident, police report filed

NFL Network reported Tuesday that Adams is facing NFL discipline.

The league is reviewing the shove and it’s unknown if a suspension could be handed down.

Police are also investigating the alleged assault.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
