Despite being under the weather on Monday night, Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs suited up for his team and turned in a gutsy performance against the Baltimore Ravens.

Jacobs, who was downgraded to questionable just a day before kickoff, had 10 carries for 34 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He was really efficient in the red zone for the Raiders.

Unfortunately, Jacobs was seen limping toward the end of the Raiders’ overtime win against the Ravens. The team didn’t have an update on his health on Monday night, but they did release one just moments ago.

It turns out Jacobs didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice due to toe and ankle injuries. That shouldn’t really surprise Las Vegas fans because the Alabama product said he’ll use Wednesdays as “rest days” over the course of the season.

On the other hand, Jacobs’ status for Week 2 could be in jeopardy considering he’s dealing with a pair of lower-body injuries.

In the event Jacobs is unable to play this Sunday against the Steelers, the Raiders will need to use Kenyan Drake a lot more than they did in Week 1.

Drake had six carries for 11 yards in the season opener. He also added five receptions for 59 yards.

The Raiders should know more about Jacobs’ status for Week 2 on Friday.
