Raheem Mostert injury update: Dolphins' running back out vs. Ravens

BALTIMORE - The Dolphins will have to play their biggest game of the season without star running back Raheem Mostert, who has ankle and knee injuries.

Mostert was questionable entering Sunday's game at the Ravens, but he is inactive today.

Mostert has 1,012 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

Coach Mike McDaniel didn't seem overly concerned about Mostert on Friday, saying, "Raheem is probably a guy that I’m least worried about in life in terms of, I just know him so well and his prerequisite toughness. He’ll get a little work today. He’s had a good week."

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (31) breaks free for a big gain as New York Jets cornerback D.J. Reed (4) closes in during the second half of an NFL game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Dec. 17, 2023.

Without Mostert, Miami will have to rely on veteran Jeff Wilson and rookie De'Von Achane, who has been working through a toe injury.

Wilson said this week: "It’s just to a point where I’m ready to just knock it over and me knocking it over and just letting the world know that I can play and don’t ever play with me on my name again."

Miami will also play this game without star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who has a high ankle sprain.

Without Waddle, Tyreek Hill may see even more targets.

And other receivers like Braxton Berrios, Cedrick Wilson and perhaps River Cracraft, Robbie Chosen or Chase Claypool could see more action.

Or, the Dolphins could look toward tight end Durham Smythe and Achane a bit more, as well.

The Dolphins also announced defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is a healthy scratch.

"Wow lol," Ogbah posted to X shortly before the game.

The Ravens will be without star safety Kyle Hamilton, who has a knee injury.
