Paddington 3 has announced another cast change as Rachel Zegler has been forced to drop out of the movie due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

Zegler was set to play the role of Gina Cabot in the threequel, which is officially titled Paddington in Peru. However, newcomer Carla Tous will now take over the role, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The film had previously continued filming without Zegler.

Tous only has a handful of IMDB credits at the time of writing but is best known for her roles in TV shows such as Three Days of Christmas and 30 Coins. Zegler, who came to prominence with her starring role in West Side Story, will next be seen in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Disney's remake of Snow White.

This cast change follows the previous news that Sally Hawkins will not be returning for the third Paddington movie after playing Mrs. Brown in the first two instalments. She has been replaced by Emily Mortimer.

However, Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton are returning to their respective voice rules of Paddington and Lucy, while live-action returners Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, and Jim Broadbent will be joined by Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas, who are new to the cast.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, director Dougal Wilson said: "It’s been a joy and an honor to shoot Paddington in Peru with such a wonderful and talented cast and crew."
