When is R6 new season coming out? Server maintenance underway and when they should be back

The next season of Rainbow Six Seige is almost here.

Servers for Ubisoft's multiplayer shooting game went offline Tuesday morning for updates leading up to the deployment of R6's Year 9 Season 1: Operation Deadly Omen. A post on X, formerly known as Twitter, estimated the downtime not to last too long. But things can happen.

Here's when players should be able to log back in and download the latest patch for Chapter 9 Season 1.

When is the new R6 season out?

Gamers will have to wait at least an hour before they get to play. The server turn-off usually happens around 8 a.m. CT and can last between one and four hours, based on past server turn-offs.

That means gamers can start Year 9 Season 1 sometime between 9 a.m. and noon.

Ubisoft estimated that the server turnoff would only be 60 minutes, according to an X post.

There is always room for error though, like with the latest version of Fortnite.

Epic Games, owner of Fortnie, had servers shut down for a better part of a day as scheduled maintenance ahead of the release took longer than expected. The maintenance was only supposed to last until the morning of Friday, March 8, but didn't come back until later that afternoon.

Will there be more R6 seasons in 2024?

According to the game company, there are already three more seasons set to follow Season 1. Each of them is expected to last around three months.
