The Quinn Ewers hype train is officially off and running. The Ohio State transfer had several major highlights during the Texas spring game on Saturday afternoon.

Ewers’ big arm was on full display during the Longhorns’ scrimmage. At one point he connected with Isaiah Neyor for a 72-yard touchdown.

The ball traveled about 55 yards in the air before being hauled in by Neyor.

“Texas fans… it’s not [too] late to start sipping the Texas off-season Kool-Aid after this throw from Quinn Ewers.,” TND said.

“Quinn Ewers just dropped a dime to Isaiah Neyor. 72-yard TD. Very nice throw,” Sam Khan Jr. wrote.

“Quinn Ewers’ first TD as a Longhorn? A 60+ yard bomb,” Robby Espin said.

Ewers later found Xavier Worthy – a breakout star for the Longhorns last season – for another touchdown strike.

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the highly-touted prospect, though.

Steve Sarkisian admitted after the scrimmage he clearly still has plenty to work on.

“I thought Quinn might have forced one there, but that’s part of the growing pains,” Sark told Longhorn Network. “He made a great throw on the touchdown, then comes back and throws a pick. So we’ve just got to keep working through it.”

Ewers clearly has a bright career ahead of him.

Will he be the quarterback to put University of Texas football back on the map?
