Pursuit in Newcomerstown cross over into Coshocton County

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office participated in a suspect pursuit overnight, per a press release.

The sheriff's office reported receiving an advisory from the Newcomerstown Police Department of them engaged in a pursuit of a red pickup truck heading westbound on County Road 9 at approximately 3:42 a.m. this morning.

Before deputies arrived to the area, the driver had stopped on County Road 245 and ran from the vehicle. After a brief foot pursuit, the man was apprehended by authorities, per the release. He was evaluated on scene by Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services and transported to Genesis Coshocton Medical Center without any injuries or his general condition disclosed in the release.

The case remains under investigation and there has been no charges or a name of the suspect released. Also assisting on scene were the West Lafayette Police Department and Bradford's Towing.
