Purdue football lands third, fourth transfers from Georgia as two Bulldogs WRs commit

The Purdue football team is getting two more players from the Georgia Bulldogs.

On Friday, wide receivers De'nylon Morrissette and C.J. Smith announced they would transfer to the Boilermakers. They mark the third and fourth UGA player to switch to Purdue after defensive back Nyland Green and edge rusher CJ Madden committed to Ryan Walters.

Morrissette played two seasons at Georgia and totaled 4 catches for 34 yards in 14 games. He attended North Cobb High School in Georgia and was a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports.

Smith, 6-3 out of Apopka, Fla., played in nine games this season and caught two passes for 57 yards in season-opening victory vs UT Martin. Coming out of high school, he was rated the No. 65 receiver in the nation by 247Sports.

Morrissette and Smith join a Purdue WRs room that was hit particularly hard in the transfer portal with eight receivers leaving, including their top three receivers Deion Burks, TJ Sheffield and Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen.
