All of puppy’s siblings got adopted — except him. Dwight the ‘sweet’ dog waits his turn

A “sweet” puppy’s siblings were adopted — but he still waits for a home of his own.

“Sadly I haven’t found my perfect family yet,” a South Carolina shelter said May 7 in a Facebook post written from the perspective of Dwight the dog. “I’m actually a really good boy, but I do have lots and lots of energy and I think that sometimes makes people nervous.”

The shelter — the Greenville Humane Society — said Dwight is a playful 4-month-old mixed-breed pup. But recently, he was given a digital makeover.

A photo of Dwight was altered to show him dressed up as a character of the same name from the sitcom “The Office.” The pup can be seen wearing a necktie and glasses near beets, another nod to the show.

Dwight’s picture appeared on Facebook in March, along with those of Creed and Stanley, two of his canine siblings also dressed as “The Office” characters. The three were described as “silly guys” with “ridiculous puppy antics.”

The pups’ journey at the shelter started in February, when their group of six siblings was transferred from another animal facility. Now, about three months later, Dwight is the only sibling left without a family.

“All have been adopted except for sweet Dwight,” a shelter spokesperson told McClatchy News in an email on May 9. “Dwight is a playful guy with lots and lots of energy. He would do best in a home with another dog that loves to play and run around in the yard.”
