New Publix near Mall at Wellington Green opens, featuring modern design, range of products
WELLINGTON — Publix Super Markets unveiled a new, modern store near the Mall at Wellington Green on Thursday, April 11.
The 38,227-square-foot grocery replaced a Fresh Market on the Wellington Green Square, along Forest Hill Boulevard.
The store features a new prototype design with higher ceilings, wider aisles and self-check-out stations. It is similar to stores that have opened recently at other sites throughout Palm Beach County.
“We are excited to welcome our customers to their new store at Wellington Green Square and look forward to providing them with the premier service and quality Publix is known for,” said Lindsey Willis, Publix Super Market media relations manager.

Publix Super Markets grows in western Palm Beach County
The new location is Publix's fourth site in the village. The Lakeland-based grocery chain operates a store 2 miles away on Forest Hill and another along South Shore Boulevard and is expected to unveil this year a renovated store in the Courtyard Shops at Wellington along Greenview Shores Boulevard.
Publix Super Market has grown its presence in the western suburbs of Palm Beach County.
It developed a shopping plaza in Westlake where it opened a 43,388 square-foot store and remodeled another one in Royal Plam Beach.

The new Publix Super Market is in the Wellington Green Plaza, a strip mall surrounding the Mall at Wellington Green.
Besides its new features, it has traditional departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce and full-service bakery and pharmacy areas.

It offers Publix's deli counter service where clients can order the signature sandwiches known as "Pub Subs" or pick up meats, cheeses, olives and antipastos.
The bakery will sell breads and rolls baked fresh throughout the day and also offer an array of cakes, cookies, deserts and elaborate cakes. It will also have a wine section from a variety of national and international grapes.
