Experience tickets are $10, which includes attendees’ names being added to the John Brown Donor Wall on the property. Go to EventBrite at https://bit.ly/JB224 for tickets.

Brown was born May 9, 1800, in Connecticut. He and his family rented the Akron house from Col. Simon Perkins from 1844 to 1854.

The house is open for tours by appointment through May. In June, tours will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For more information, call 330-535-1120 or visit www.summithistory.org
