'Property Brothers' Jonathan Scott Gives Update on Zooey Deschanel Wedding Plans

Jonathan Scott is gearing up to do quite a bit of wedding planning in the new year.

The Property Brothers star—who got engaged to partner Zooey Deschanel in August 2023—recently offered an update on the pair's wedding planning progress so far, which he is hoping to dig into more now that the holidays have passed.

"Right now we're so focused on the holidays but we've got some planning coming in the new year," Jonathan, 45, told Extra in a new interview published this week, adding that he and Zooey, 43, have been "basking" in engaged life so far.

The couple—who had been dating for four years prior to their engagement—previously insisted they weren't in any rush to tie the knot, as they are just "enjoying being engaged right now," the New Girl actress said last month.

But while they haven't yet decided when their nuptials will be, Jonathan has already been thinking about what his bachelor party might look like, even though his brother Drew Scott said in their Extra interview that he has "already been putting some ideas together," regarding a last hurrah for his twin bro.

"Is it weird that I’ve already kind of planned my own bachelor party?" the future groom quipped, even though we're sure he will let Drew get in on the planning action.

Plus, it won't be Drew's first time helping prepare for his brother's nuptials, as Jonathan was already married once to Kelsy Ully, from whom he split from in 2013.

As for Zooey, the Elf star has been married twice before, first to Ben Gibbard, whom she wed in 2009, and then to Jacob Pechenik, the father of her two children: Elsie, 8, and Charlie 6, before their divorce in 2020.
